Disco Dash
A downloadable game for Windows
tl;dr - Press left/right mouse button to choose dance mode. Bump into other NPCs with the same dance to gaint points and extra time. Avoid running into bouncers.
Instructions
Now is your time to let those dance moves out! You have entered the club and intend to be the best dancer on the floor. Gather a following of NPCs by matching their dance and bumping into them. The more NPCs that follow you, the higher your score. Watch out! There are Bouncers on the dance floor that don't like you. Avoid them at all costs! Can you survive for the whole song? Post your high score in the comments below.
Controls (Controller Supported!)
MOUSE + KEYBOARD
- Left Mouse Button = Next Dance Mode
- Right Mouse Button = Previous Dance Mode
- A/D = Rotate Left/Right
- Mouse (Right Thumbstick) - Move Camera
- ESC (Start Button) - Pause/Unpause
GAMEPAD
- A/RT/RB = Next Dance Mode
- B/LT/LB = Previous Dance Mode
- Left Thumbstick = Rotate Left/Right
- Right Thumbstick = Move Camera
For BigMode Ratings
This game incorporates "Mode" in its core gameplay loop. The player must select the correct dance mode before bumping into an NPC to have them join the player. In fact, the player cannot get out of dance mode. The party just doesn't stop.
This Game is Streamer Friendly.
All music was made by us, so rest easy about DCMA strikes!

the best I ever did was 11, by the way, which doesn't seem very impressive. interested what kind of scores players that put in the time to git gud are posting.

ah yes, the universally recognized three types of dances, hip-hop, YMCA, and chicken
this was hilarious. it's like snake if the snake from snake wasn't a snake but was instead a hovering weirdo flailing in three of the most awkward ways possible collecting other dancers while gliding around the dance floor with the handling of a damaged zamboni.
my only real critique is that it was immensely satisfying (and funny) to crunch and ragdoll people and I wish there was a game mode where you could just keep doing that forever rather than it leading to a failstate.
edit: the main piece of constructive feedback I have is that the controls should be in the game itself, not just here on itch. or at least include a readme.
